Story related to Birth of Devi Saraswati:

According to this story, it is believed that when Lord Brahma created this universe and living beings he was very happy for his creation. One day Lord Brahma thought that today he should go and see his creations and he went out to see.

But when he came and saw it on the earth, they all seemed colourless, because all those creatures were moving, but because of the absence of speech, everything was very quiet.

So Lord Brahma took out a few drops of water from his Kamandal and threw it in the air and from that Goddess Saraswati was born.

Goddess Saraswati appeared as a beautiful woman with four hands. She had a veena in one hand, a lotus in the other, Vedas or manuscripts in the third, and a blessing posture with the fourth hand.

Goddess Saraswati asked Lord Brahma the reason for revealing her. Lord Brahma said to her that there is no speech, knowledge, art in this world, so you have to give all that to this world.

From that day Devi Saraswati is worshipped as Goddess of Knowledge, art, music and wisdom.
