| LORD KALKI : TENTH AVATAR OF LORD VISHNU |
Bhagwan Kalki, also known as " kalkin " will be the last and tenth incarnation or avatar of Lord Vishnu who will end the cycle of this Yuga and the new Satya Yuga will come when Kali Yuga ends. This avatar of Lord Vishnu will appear at the end of this kaliyuga when evil things will be on peak and iniquity will have crossed all its limits.
He will end darkest and chaostic era of this Kaliyuga to remove adharma and will establish new era of Satyayuga where everything will go according to Dharma. The of Lord Kalki is different in various Puranas and Texts. Lord Kalki is also mentioned in Buddist Texts. In Sikh Texts, Lord Kalki is also described as 24th avatar of Lord Vishnu who will fight against unrighteousness.

Parents :
Lord Kalki will born in a Brahmin family and names of his parents are Vishnuyasha ( father ) and Sumati ( mother ).
Consort or Wife:
Wife of Lord Kalki will be Devi Padmavati and Devi Ramaa. Devi Padmavati will be form of Goddess Lakshmi and Devi Ramaa will be form of Goddess Bhudevi ( earth ).
Children :
Childrens of Lord Kalki will be Jai, vijay ,meghmaal and balahaka.
Abode :
Vaikuntha - abode of Lord Vishnu will be the abode of Lord Kalki.
Weapons :
Weapon of Lord Kalki will be Nandaka or ratnamaru Sword.
Mount or Vehicle :
Mount of Lord Kalki will be a white horse whose name will be devdutta. Devadutta will be the manifestion of Garuda ( mount of Lord Vishnu ) or Uchchaishravas ( mount of demon king bali but at some places it is believed that it is mount of Devraj Indra ).
Temple :
Temple of Lord kalki is in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is the oldest temple of Lord Kalki which was built by King Jai singh II in 18th century.
Story :
There is a separate puran which is related to Lord Kalki which was named as Kalki Purana. It is likely to be written in Bengal during 18th century. According to it, Lord kalki will slay the demon Kali to end this era of Kaliyuga. Kali is a demon who is believed to be the Lord of Kaliyuga.
It is believed that Lord Brahma and other deities went to Lord Vishnu when Kaliyuga had started. They told Lord Vishnu that evil practices had taken place in this world. On this Lord Vishnu told them that when evil practices were on their peak I will take birth as Kalki and I will end this era of Kaliyuga.
According to Kalki Purana, Lord Kalki will born in a brahmin family in a town named as Sambhala. His father will be named as Vishnuyasha and mother will be sumati.
When he become young he is taught all the holy scriptures which will tell him about dharma, karma and knowledge of everything. It is also believed that Lord Parshuram( sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu ) will taught him the art of warfare and how to fight against the rising evil.
After that he will become a devotee of Lord Shiva and do penance of Lord Shiva. Pleased by penance of Lord Kalki, Lord Shiva will give him a majestic divine white horse - Devadutta ( incarnation of Garuda ) and a sword which he will use to slay the demons or evils. Lord Shiva also give him a parrot whose name will be Shuka. Shuka is a parrot who knows everything about past, present and future.
Lord Kalki will fight with adharma and his army and defeat them. Lord Kalki first kill the most powerful and generals of Kali whose names are Koka and Vikoka. Koka and Vikoka are the twin brothers who are undefeatable when they are together. So Lord Kalki will separate both of them and kill them simultaneously. After that he will kill Lord of Kaliyuga - kali and will end this era of evil .
After completing his Dharma Lord Kalki will marry Padmavati and Ramaa. Lord Kalki then divide the duties of New Yuga into his trusted general and he will go back to his home town Sambhala. After that Lord kalki will go to Vaikuntha( abode of Lord Vishnu ).
Origin of kaliyuga or kali :
According to some stories, it is believed that Demon Kali is born from the poision which occured during the churning of ocean ( Samudaramanthan ). When poison came out during the churing of ocean all gods and demons got frightened to see it ,so to save world from that poision Lord Shiva drank that poision and from the remaining poison Demon kali was born.
But according to Kalki Purana, he is born from the back of Brahma. Demon Kali is great great grandson of Lord Brahma. Name of Kali's father is Krodha and mother's name is Himsa.
It is believed that there is a cycle of four yugas named as :
1.Satyayuga
2.Tretayuga
3. Dwaparyuga
4. Kaliyuga
And kaliyuga is worst of them. It is believed that Kaliyuga had started when Lord Krishna departured from this earth.
